Puppies- Under six months old-  I deworm my pups at 2,4,6,8 wks and then monthly until they are 6 months old. *  I use either Panacure  or Ivomectin.

Adults- (over 6 months old) -
          I deworm my dogs with Cattle injectible Ivomectin,,, I give it to them orally once per quarter (every 3 months)
          I deworm with Piperazine or Panacure in Jan or Feb to kill parasites building up resistance to Ivomectin products.


Dosage I use-  Cattle injectible Ivomectin- 1cc per 100 lbs of body weight.  This dose will kill gut parasites and heartworms.
          Panacure (Horse Safeguard)- For adult swissys I use 1/3 of a tube (1000 lb horse dose tube) for 3 consequitive days.



Flea and Tick  Control-  I cut up 2 heads of Garlic in 1 gal of Apple Cider Vinegar and let it sit for 3-4 weeks before use,,,
 For Adult Swissys- Give 1 tbls. per day

I use Advantix or Frontline plus for fleas and ticks every 6-8 weeks in conjunction with Garlic and AC vinegar from Mar - Nov.

Puppies- I will use Garlic and AC vinegar solution and a Cat topical flea spray (every week) until pups are over six months old.


The idea of my program is to protect my animals from fleas, ticks and heartworms at a miminal dose of pesticides or systemic toxins that could wreck their immune system and overal health.
