Scottish Highland Ponies

My journey into Scottish Highland Ponies started many years ago.  I admired their beauty, working ability, brains, tractability, and brawn.  Since my mothers people are Scottish, I thought it would be great to persue this further to honor her memory.  It also fit in my agenda as I have been involved in rare breeds of farm animals and dogs for over 35 years.

I was lucky enough to meet Michelle Winans online at Trinityglen Highland Ponies.  She is a great person to work with. She has been very patient and a great mentor. I am very honored and grateful for helping me select my first SHP. My first Highland Pony was born in the spring of 2021.  Her name is Caoilainn (Kay Lynn).  Below are some pictures of her.

My future plans are to buy two more HP ponies so I would have a SH Stallion and two Mares.  I also have two Hanovarion/Arab/Thoroughbred cross mares that I hope to someday breed to my HP Stallion for use by older teenagers and adults who may need a slightly larger riding , competitive  horse that can be use for Dressage, Hunter/Jumpers or Driving.
